System updates

New quest types

  • Two new quest types have been added:
    • Extreme quests
    • Limited-time quests

Emergency quests

  • Now multiple emergency quests can occur at the same time.

Interrupt rankings

  • During time attack rankings, the target quest will receive a +100% boost to enemy EXP payout and the Meseta rewarded for clearing the quest will be increased tenfold.
  • Enemy defeat rankings have been changed so that the rare versions of target enemies will count toward the ranking.
  • During enemy defeat rankings, the target enemy and its rare counterpart will receive a +400% rare drop rate boost as well as a +25% chance of being a boosted enemy.
  • Chrome Dragon and Haze Draal will no longer be selected for enemy defeat rankings.

FUN Shop

  • The FUN Shop has been added, where you can purchase items using FUN.

Rare Stone Shop

  • The Pyroxene Shop's name has been changed to the Rare Stone Shop, and new items that can be traded for spellstones have been added.

Recycle Shop

Room Shop

  • The Room Shop's inventory has been updated with new items.

Team functions

  • The "Forest Base" team room has been added.
  • New team counter NPCs have been added.

Item upgrading

  • When upgrading attributes, a confirmation window now appears when you select an item that has been upgraded to +1 or higher.
  • When adding affixes, a confirmation window now appears when you select an item that has been upgraded to +1 or higher or has a rarity of 7★ or more.

Miscellaneous changes

  • In the PC version, pressing the Tab key at the party setup screen will immediately move the cursor to the "Update" button.
  • An in-game notification function has been added to relay news on campaigns and other official information.
  • A check box has been added to the player shop item search allowing you to search for weapons with or without potentials.
  • Automate Halfline (Hunter skill) and Automate Deadline (Gunner skill) have been changed so that they can occur consecutively.
  • In the emergency quest Profound Darkness: Elder, Dark Falz Elder has been changed so that it cannot be stunned.
  • In advanced quests, the number of times some enemies and bosses can spawn other enemies has been limited.
  • In advanced quests, the space between back-to-back enemy spawns has been shortened.
  • The Vol Dragon summoned by Goronzoran has been changed so that it cannot be defeated.
  • Reduced the processing load caused by fetching symbol art.
  • Reduced the time required to load and display the requirements windows at the title counter.
  • If your matching settings are set to disallow calling partners into your party, a message will display saying so when you access the partner terminal in the campship.
  • A new icon has been added which will display on the main menu when new correspondence has occurred under the "Community" tab's "Friend list," "Team commands," or "Mail." This icon also indicates the number of occurrences.
  • A new "Mark as read" function has been added to the "Mail" menu. This allows you to mark multiple unread messages as already read.
  • The mail composition window now displays a help message on how to perform a carriage return without entering any text in the composition field.
  • On item detail screens, the "Race" and "Gender" entries have been placed side-by-side. The space freed up by this adjustment is now used to display which classes can equip an item.
  • The Half Doll has been added, which allows you to revive from incapacitation with half of your maximum HP restored. These items are distributed through various campaigns.
  • In the record displaying the client orders you have accepted from variousn NPCs, the "About your orders" section has been changed to "Client orders (Current: x/y)," where x represents the current number of active client orders you have accepted, and y represents the maximum number of client orders you can accept.
  • At the team counter, the "About team orders" section has been changed to "Team orders (Current: x/y)," where x represents the current number of active team orders you have accepted, and y represents the maximum number of team orders you can accept.
  • The limited-time event NPC Xie has been changed so that the current season or event she is representing is displayed in parentheses after her name.
  • Some of Hans, Revelle and Kressida's greetings have been changed.
  • If there is a major difference between the time settings of your PC or PSVita and the game servers, a warning message will display.
  • "Please check to make sure no symbols were entered," has been added to the No.674 error message.

Balance adjustments

Enemy adjustments

  • The number of hits caused by Quartz Dragon's charge attack has been adjusted, and overall difficulty of the boss has been reduced.

Maintenance details

  • Campaign names under the "Receive campaign items" menu have been adjusted.
  • To go along with the introduction of extreme quests, anyone who logged in between the end of maintenance on February 28, 2013, and the beginning of maintenance on May 8, 2013, has been given the following items:
    • Extreme Pass x10
    • Half Doll x1
  • In honor of winning the "Famitsu Award 2013" and "Dengeki Online Award 2012," prizes have been issued to anyone who logged in between the end of maintenance on February 28, 2013, and the beginning of maintenance on May 8, 2013.
  • Rewards have been issued to those who purchased one or more scratch during AC Scratch Campaign 4.
  • Rewards have been issued to those who spent 3,000 or more on AC Scratches during AC Scratch Campaign 4.
  • Rewards have been issued to those who spent 500 or more on FUN Scratches during FUN Scratch Campaign 2.
  • Rewards have been issued to those who spent 2,000 or more on FUN Scratches during FUN Scratch Campaign 2.
  • Rewards have been issued to everyone who met the requirements of Friend Invitation Campaign 2 between the end of maintenance on March 27, 2013, and the beginning of maintenance on April 17, 2013.
  • A 3 Day Shop Pass has been issued to players who had their shop items mistakenly moved to storage despite not meeting the requirements. This was related to the addition of a feature added on February 25, 2013, which moves old shop items to storage when the shop owner has not logged in for an extended period of time.
  • Rewards have been issued via storage to all eligible participants of Client Order Campaign 6.
  • Rewards have been issued via storage to all eligible participants of Emergency Quest Campaign 8.
  • Rewards have been issued via storage to all eligible participants of Emergency Quest Campaign 9.
